Setting Up a Custom Server Icon

  1. Prepare a 64x64 pixel PNG image
  2. Name it server-icon.png
  3. Upload it to your server's root directory (same folder as server.jar)
  4. Restart your server

Joining Your Minecraft Server

  1. Log in to your Pterodactyl panel
  2. Go to your server's console page
  3. Find the connection address (usually 217.154.63.80:PORT)
  4. In Minecraft, select "Multiplayer" > "Add Server"
  5. Enter the address and click "Done"

Changing Your World Seed

  1. Stop your server
  2. In server.properties, find level-seed=
  3. Enter your desired seed after the equals sign
  4. Delete the existing world folder (or rename it to backup)
  5. Start your server - a new world will generate

Installing Plugins

  1. Download plugins from trusted sources (SpigotMC, Bukkit)
  2. Stop your server
  3. Upload the .jar files to the plugins folder
  4. Start your server - plugins will generate config files
  5. Configure plugins by editing their YML files
  6. Run /reload confirm or restart to apply changes

Installing Mods

  1. Install Forge or Fabric on your server
  2. Download compatible mods from CurseForge or Modrinth
  3. Stop your server
  4. Upload mod .jar files to the mods folder
  5. Start your server - check logs for errors
  6. Clients must install the same mods to join

Setting Up Permissions (LuckPerms)

  1. Install LuckPerms following the plugin installation guide
  2. Use these basic commands:
    • /lp creategroup admin
    • /lp group admin permission set *
    • /lp user [player] parent set admin
  3. For advanced setups, use the web editor: /lp editor

Earning Credits

  1. Log in to FreeMC Rewards
  2. Scroll down to "Generate Link Offer"
  3. Share your referral link with friends
  4. You earn credits when they sign up or complete offers
  5. Credits are automatically applied to your account

Note: Credits can be used to extend your server runtime or upgrade resources.

Connecting Your Domain to Your Minecraft Server

This guide shows exactly what fields to fill in to connect your domain to your Minecraft server (IP: 51.68.234.50).

Step 1 — Add A Record (Main Domain)

Go to your DNS provider and create an A record.

  1. Type: A
  2. Name: @ (or leave blank depending on provider)
  3. IPv4 Address: 51.68.234.50
  4. Proxy: DNS ONLY (very important)
  5. TTL: Auto

Step 2 — Optional Subdomain (Recommended)

Create a subdomain so players can join easily.

  1. Type: A
  2. Name: play
  3. IPv4 Address: 51.68.234.50
  4. Proxy: DNS ONLY

Step 3 — SRV Record (Remove Port)

This lets players join without typing a port.

  1. Service: _minecraft
  2. Protocol: _tcp
  3. Name: play
  4. Priority: 0
  5. Weight: 0
  6. Port: Copy from your panel
  7. Target: play.yourdomain.com
    Get your port here: https://panel.freemchosting.com

Final Result

Players can now join using:

play.yourdomain.com

✔ No port required
✔ Works on all Minecraft versions
✔ Automatically routes to your server
